Remove/install

 Installation

Replace self-locking nuts and bolts.

Remove front springs

Unscrew safety screws of brake disk and of cover panel (arrow)



Unscrew nut of supporting joint



Screw thrust piece (044a) on the ball stud of the supporting joint



Press brake disk and brake disk cover panel outwards

Using puller (044) press supporting joint out of the steering knuckle



 Clean conical joint

Detach damper (47) from transverse control arm



Detach lower control arm (4)

 Installation:  Insert cam bolts from front to rear

Tighten nuts in ready-to-drive condition.

Unscrew supporting joint nut (7b) on control arm side



Screw thrust piece onto the ball pivot of the supporting joint



Use puller to press supporting joint out of control arm

 Clean conical joint if necessary

Check supporting joint

and replace if necessary

Install in the reverse order

Perform a wheel alignment check

 Tighten nuts of lower control arm in ready-to-drive condition
