Measuring wheel bearing play
1 Set up gauge stand (1) with dial gauge (2) on steering knuckle.
2 Screw lever (3) onto a wheel bolt on the opposite side to the measuring point of the dial gauge (2).
3 Ascertain the existing wheel bearing play by rocking the lever (3).
4 Adjust wheel bearing play if necessary.

Adjusting wheel bearing play
5 Unscrew outer slotted nut (1) using claw-type wrench and remove locking ring (2).
6 Unscrew inner slotted nut (3) using claw-type wrench.
7 Grease contact surface of inner slotted nut (3) with wheel hub and screw tight (initial torque), .
8 Turn back inner slotted nut (3) by the specified value (°).
9 Install locking ring (2).
Replace locking ring (2).
10 Grease outer slotted nut (1) and screw tight .
11 Measure wheel bearing play and Repeat the process.
Only measure wheel bearing play when the outer slotted nut (1) is tight!
12 Lock outer slotted nut (1).
