Note the correct bearing assembly position for future reference.
| Install | ||
5 | Install the inner tapered roller bearings (11) on the wheel hub (10) | Pay attention to the correct bearing assembly position.
6 | Install the radial seal (12) on the wheel hub (10) | Use a new radial seal.
7 | Install the wheel hub (10) on the axle sleeve (13) | The wheel hub previously assembled with the internal tapered roller bearing and the radial seal must be installed carefully in the axle sleeve in order to avoid damage to these components.
8 | Install the tapered roller bearings (9) on the wheel hub (10)
9 | Install the inner nut (8) to the specified tightening torque | Rotate the wheel hub a few times while tightening the inner nut in order to provide perfect seating of the bearings.
.Inner bearing nut | |||
10 | Install the thrust washer (7), the lock washer (6) and the outer nut (5) | Use a new locking washer.
Make sure that the thrust washer and lock washer are perfectly aligned and engaged. Grease can be used to ensure the positioning of these components.
11 | Tighten the outer nut (5) to the prescribed torque | .Outer bearing nut
12 | Fold part of the lock washer (6) over one side of the outer nut (5)
13 | Install the gasket (4), the wheel hub cover (3), the screws (2) together with the lock washers (1) | Use a new gasket.
