Remove/install

Risk of death from lowering vehicle when working between wheels and body. Risk of injury from pinching or crushing when working on the air suspension.

Testing and repair work between the wheel and wheel arch or in the wheel well should only be performed if the vehicle is secured using suitable support fixtures to prevent it from lowering.
Adjustment operations should only be performed from underneath the vehicle.
Use only suitable support fixtures to secure the vehicle frame or vehicle axles in order to prevent them from lowering.
If necessary, additionally use suitable support fixtures in order to prevent other moving vehicle parts that are in the working area from lowering, or use suitable retaining devices to prevent these parts from moving suddenly and without warning.
Secure areas with moving vehicle parts against unauthorized access.

Lift the vehicle and support it on easels

Remove the front wheels

 After traveling the first 50 to 100 km, retighten the wheel lock nuts.

Remove nut and extract the spherical joint of steering arm

Disconnect pads wear sensor cables (7)

 Only for vehicles equipped with disk brake pads wear sensor.

Disconnect the ABS sensor cables

 Only for ABS-equipped vehicles.

Remove brake air hose (3) on both sides

Remove shock absorbers (1)

Remove stabilizer and clip nuts (9), spring clips (4), clips support (5) and leaf springs lower elements (6)

 Support the front axle beam.

 Move stabilizer bar (8) down.

 Installation: Examine tying clips threads of leaf springs and, if necessary, replace them.

 Installation: Replace clamp nuts (9).

 After traveling the first 50 to 100 km, retighten the clamp nuts

Lower front axle and remove it from vehicle

 Installation: Grease the guide screw and the hole of the support base on the axle.
The guide screw head should fit properly in the hole of the support base on the front axle.

 After axle installation, check vehicle wheels geometry.
