Remove bolts from transfer case drive flange

Remove bolts (7) from output flange (3) on transmission housing (1)

Remove propeller shaft (8)

Before removal, mark position of drive shaft (8).

Unscrew collar nut (4) from output flange (3)

Installation: Use new collar nut (4).

Remove output flange (3)

Pry radial shaft sealing ring (2) out of transmission housing (1) using a wide screwdriver

Not on model 461.331

Do not damage seat of radial shaft sealing ring (2) in the transmission housing (1), because of leaks.

Installation: Use drift (6) to press new radial shaft seal (2) into transmission housing (1) until drift (6) touches transmission housing (1).

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (2) with bushing (11)

Only on model 461.331

The radial shaft sealing ring (2) can only be replaced together with the bushing (11).

Installation: Use drift (6) to press new radial shaft seal (2) into transmission housing (1) until drift (6) touches transmission housing (1), do not damage O-ring (9) while doing so.

Install in the reverse order
