| Removal | ||
1 | Unscrew hexagon nut (7) for axial bracket | ||
2 | Unscrew hexagon socket bolts (6) and remove secondary pump housing (5). | ||
3 | Remove sealing ring (2) and adapter plate (1) | ||
4 | Remove pump gears (3, 4) from secondary pump housing (5). | ||
5 | Remove locking ring (15) and remove cover (14) | ||
6 | Pull spring plate (13), spring (12) and shut-off piston (10) with sealing ring (8) out of pump housing. | ||
7 | Remove Teflon rings (9, 11) from shut-off piston. | ||
| Installing | ||
8 | Install new sealing ring (8) in secondary pump housing (5). | ||
9 | Install Teflon rings (9, 11) in the shut-off piston (10) and lubricate with automatic transmission oil. | ||
10 | Push shut-off piston (10) into the secondary pump housing (5). | The Teflon rings (9, 11) must be compressed when pushing in the shut-off piston. | |
11 | Insert spring (12), spring plate (13) and cover (14) and install locking ring (15). | ||
12 | Install pump gears (3, 4) | ||
13 | Install adapter plate (1) and new sealing ring (2). | ||
14 | Mount secondary pump housing (5). | ||
15 | Tighten hexagon socket bolts (6) and hexagon nut (7) for axial bracket. | The slot (A) in the axial bracket must be horizontal when installing. | |
