4 | Check whether gearshift lever moves along center of adjusting device (9) | If necessary, adjust the transverse support (3) of the shift mechanism on the transmission. | |
5 | Check gap (a) between gearshift lever and adjusting device (9) | The gap (a) must be approx. 3 mm; if necessary: | |
Adjust longitudinal support (4) of shift mechanism on transmission. | |||
Adjust transverse support | |||
6 | Slacken jam nuts (2) at adjusting rod (1) | ||
7 | Adjust transverse support (3) | Twist adjusting rod (1) until the gearshift lever runs centrally in the adjusting device (9). | |
8 | Tighten lock nuts (2) | ||
Adjust longitudinal support | |||
9 | Slacken jam nuts (5) on ball head (6) of longitudinal support (4) | ||
10 | Remove nut (7) and detach ball head (6) | ||
11 | Adjust longitudinal support (4) | Twist ball head (6) until the distance dimension (a) of 3 mm is reached. | |
12 | Attach ball head (6) and tighten nut (7) | Replace nut (7). | |
13 | Tighten lock nuts (5) | ||
14 | Detach adjusting device (9) | ||
15 | Attach bellows (8) to gearshift lever | ||
16 | Perform a function test | Shift through all gears, | |
Repeat adjustment procedure. |
