Remove/install

Put transmission and shift mechanism in neutral

Remove passenger seat above transmission maintenance flap.

Remove transmission maintenance flap.

Detach shift cables (1) from bracket (2) and from reversing levers (3, 4)

Danger!

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Remove engine compartment paneling underneath transmission

Detach shift cables (1) from shift device (6) and supporting bracket (7).

 Install new self-locking nuts.



Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts

Disconnect cable ties for fastening shift cables (1) to frame

Detach bracket for fastening shift cables (1) to frame

Pull out shift cables (1) forwards

Install in the reverse order

Adjust

Loosen locknuts on adjustment threaded rods

 Transmission and shift mechanism are in neutral

13

Set zero clearance for shift cables (1) by turning the adjustment threaded rods, tighten locknuts

14

Shift through all gears, adjust settings if necessary
