	Remove
1	Remove shift mechanism		AR26.60-I-0001C
	Disassemble
2	Clamp shift housing (1) in vise.	 Use suitable aluminum protective jaws.
3	Remove bolt (11) with nut (9).
4	Mark position of gearshift lever (10) on shift shaft (4).
5	Remove gearshift lever (10) from shift shaft (4) using a suitable puller.
6	Remove breather (12) from shift housing (3).
7	Remove protective cap (8) from shift shaft (4).
8	Remove circlip (1).
9	Mark position of shift finger (2) on shift shaft (4) and remove shift finger (2).
10	Remove shift shaft (4) from shift housing (3).
11	Remove oil ring (7) and radial sealing ring (6).
12	Remove bushing (5)		*000589263300

	Assemble
 Danger!	Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.	Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.	AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
13	Heat shift housing around mounting bore to approx. 100 °C and drive bushing (5) all the way into shift housing (3).	 Install new bushing (5).

14	Push sleeve onto shift shaft (4) and insert shift shaft (4) into shift housing (3).

15	Heat shift finger (2) to approx. 100 °C and push onto shift shaft (4) at marked position.
16	Insert circlip (10) into shift shaft (4).
17	Drive radial sealing ring (6) all the way into shift housing (3).	 Install new radial sealing ring (6). Observe the installation position of radial sealing ring (6).

18	Drive oil ring (7) all the way into shift housing (3).	 Install new oil ring (7). Observe installation position of oil ring (7).

19	Fit protective cap (8) on shift shaft (4).
20	Secure gearshift lever (10) using nut (9) and bolt (11).	 Observe marking.
21	Tighten breather (12).		*BA26.40-N-1002-01K
22	Remove shift housing (3) from vise.
	Install
23	Install shift mechanism		AR26.60-I-0001C
