Remove

Remove cap (7).

 The cap (7) is destroyed during removal.

Shift gearshift to neutral position.

Remove screw plug (10).

 The screw plug (10) is spring-loaded.

Remove spring (9) from catch bolt (8).

Remove catch bolt (8); when doing so, simultaneously seal opening of cap (7) using a clean rag.

 The lock rod (1) is spring-loaded and otherwise jumps out of the transmission.

Pull out lock rod (1) with spring (2) and catch bolt (6).



Install

Adjust lock rod (1).

Setting for interlock lock rod

Insert lock rod (1) with spring (2) and catch bolt (6).

Insert catch bolt (8).

Push spring (9) onto catch bolt (8).

Screw in screw plug (10).

Only with range group installed.


It is essential to tighten the screw plug (10) to the specified torque.
Otherwise the transmission housing can be damaged.

Coat new cap (7) with sealant and install in transmission housing using a suitable drift.

Sealant, Loctite 5970, 50 ml
