1 Insert synchronizer cone (1) into synchronizer ring (2) of toothed gear.

2 Insert the shop-made sheet-metal strips (3) into the gap between the
synchronizer cone (1) and the synchronizer ring (2) of the toothed gear.

Check on at least two opposite points.

The shop-made sheet-metal strips (3) must slide in easily.

Components which belong together and components that have been checked and found to be OK must be marked.
