Disassemble

Disassemble transmission.

Remove tapered roller bearings (2, 3).

Remove circlip (4).

Remove countershaft gear for 1st  constant speed gear (5) with hydraulic press.

Remove countershaft twin gear (6) with hydraulic press.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Hydraulic press

Assemble

Heat up countershaft twin gear (6) to max. 180 °C and install.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Hydraulic press

 Immediately after installing, readjust countershaft twin gear (6) with zero axial clearance using a hydraulic press.

Heat up countershaft gear for 1st  constant speed gear (5) to max. 180 °C and install.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Hydraulic press

 Immediately after installing, readjust the countershaft gear 1st constant speed gear (5) with zero axial clearance using a hydraulic press.

Install retaining ring (4).

Heat up tapered roller bearing (3) to max. 100 °C and install.

 Set inner race of tapered roller bearing (3) with zero clearance.

Heat up tapered roller bearing (2) to max. 100 °C and install.

 Readjust inner race of tapered roller bearing (2) with zero clearance.

Assemble transmission.
