Remove drive shaft with gearwheel (1)

Heat inner race of tapered roller bearing (2) using a commercially available heat gun and pull tapered roller bearing (2) off drive shaft with gearwheel (1)

 Assembly: Heat the inner race of the tapered roller bearing (2) to approx. 120 °C and push onto the drive shaft with gearwheel (1).
When it has cooled, the tapered roller bearing (2) must lie against the stop of the input shaft with gear wheel (1).

Remove retaining ring (5)

Remove oil guide (4) from drive shaft with gearwheel (1)

Remove baffle plate (3)

 Assembly: Attach baffle plate (3) to drive shaft with gearwheel (1) as far as the stop using a suitable drift.

Clean all components and check for wear and condition

If there are problems



Replace affected component.

Assemble in the reverse order
