Remove/install

Remove the transmission

 See information provided by vehicle manufacturer or transmission manufacturer.

Attach transmission to assembly device

Remove rear transmission housing

Pull out oil guide tube (3)

 Installation: Check the oil guide pipe (3) for damage and replace if necessary.

Remove shift rail guide from front transmission housing

Remove 1st and 2nd gear shift fork, 3rd and 4th gear shift fork and the associated shift rails

Install puller (1) under inner race of tapered roller bearing of countershaft (4)

Bolt crossbar (2) onto main shaft (5) with stretch bolt (7) of output flange

Connect puller (1) and crossmember (2) using spindle

Lift countershaft (4), main shaft (5) and 5th and 6th gear shift fork (6) out of front transmission housing together

 Installation:
Insert the countershaft (4) and the main shaft (5) carefully.
Otherwise the radial shaft sealing ring or the oil scraper ring could be damaged.

Install in the reverse order
