Prepare for the measuring
1 | Put the tension board (2). |
2 | Evenly tighten the screws (3) at the tension board (2) using the torque wrench . |
Tighten the bolts (3) at least two turns. |
To seat the bearings: | |
| |
Spin the input shaft several times in both directions with the splitter group engaged. |
3 | Repeat work steps 2 and 3 twice more so that the bearings seat properly. |
4 | Loosen the bolts (3) and tighten them manually. |
Do not use tools to tighten them. |

Determine the counter shaft compensating washer
5 | Using a depth caliper measure the bearing (6) outer ring from the counter shaft to the case separation surface = measure “E”. |
Determine the dimension “E” in two opposite points and establish the mean value. |

6 | Remove the safety lock (8) from the counter shaft (7) brake case . |
7 | Measure the safety lock (8) thickness using a micrometer, measure (D). |

8 | At the counter shaft (7) brake case, using a depth caliper measure the case surface to the safety lock contact surface, measure (F). |

9 | Calculate the compensating washer for the bearings of the input shaft: measure (F) - measure (D) - measure (E) = measure “H”. |
The obtainment of a clearance of 0.0 mm must be the goal. |
The compensating washer to be used must correspond to the dimension “H”. |
The compensating washer may diverge from the adjustment tolerance indicated in the table. |
10 | Install the safety lock (8) in the counter shaft (7) brake case . |
11 | Remove the tension board. |
