Disassemble

Remove the retaining ring (11)

Remove the tapered roller bearing (10)

 Use the pressure part (03) of the disassembling set.

Remove the constant gear 1 (8) and the needle bearing (9)

Remove the ring spring (5) and the synchronizing cone (6) from the synchronizing ring (7)

Remove the oil deflector (4)

 Only if necessary.

Remove the locking ring (3) and the oil pipe (2)

 Only if necessary.



Assemble

Assemble the oil pipe (2) in the main shaft (1) and install the lock ring (3)

 Only when the oil pipe (2) is removed.

Assemble the oil deflector (4)

 The oil deflector rubber lip (4) must be indicated to outside.

Check the wearing between the synchronizing cone (6) and the coupling sleeve

Fit the ring spring (5) in the synchronizing cone (6) and assemble the synchronizing ring (7)

 Grease the ring spring (5) and the synchronizing cone (6).

Fit the needles bearing (9) in the main shaft (1) and install the synchronizing ring (7) with the constant gear 1 (8)

 Lubricate the needle roller bearing (9).

 Warning

Risk of injury. Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Heat the tapered roller bearing (10) and install it in the drive shaft

 Heat to approx. 80 °C.

 After cooling (approx. 20 °C) adjust the inner ring of the tapered roller bearing (10) without end play.

Install the locking ring (11)

 Assemble the locking ring (11) without play, if necessary use a new lock ring (11) with another thickness.
