1 Fit the mains shaft (8) together with the control rails (5) in the gearbox rear housing.

Pay attention to the coupling of the control rails (5) in the control rails guide (arrow).

2 Grease the taper roller bearings.

3 Fit the counter shaft (9) in the centering device (2).

4 Install the pressure, until the main shaft (8) makes axial contact and remove the centering device

Pay attention during the installation process so that the control rails (5) are in the vertical position and aligned.

The counter shat must not be supported during the installation at pressure process on the bearing external ring; otherwise interrupt the installation process and guide the axle manually.

After the installation at pressure, check if the thrust washer (arrow) of the main shaft makes axial contact with the mains shaft bearing; otherwise the mains shaft axial play is changed.
