Disassemble/assemble

Remove power take-off 2.

Remove needle bearing (21).

 Assembly: Grease needle bearing (21) with lubricant.

Synthetic grease 50 g

Unscrew power take-off 2 indicator switch (S3) and remove sealing ring.

 Assembly: Replace seal.

 Indicator switch at shift housing

Take thrust piece (26) out of housing (1).

Remove shift cylinder with solenoid valve (10).

Remove flange (11) and remove seal (12).

 Assembly: Clean the sealing surface and install a new seal (12).

Remove retaining ring (13).

Disassemble power take-off 2 output shaft (15).

Unscrew screw plug (28) and remove sealing ring.

 Assembly: Replace seal.

Remove both stop plugs (2) from housing (1) using a suitable drift.

 Assembly: Coat both stop plugs (2) with thread locking compound and install flush to housing (1).

Remove spring pin (25) from shift fork (23) through housing (1) using a suitable drift.

 Piston with shift rod (7) is spring-loaded.

Remove piston with shift rod (7), spring retainer (3), spring (4) and pulley (5) from housing (1).

 Assembly: Replace sealing ring (6) and slide ring (8) then grease with lubricant.

Remove oil pipe (24).

 Disassemble: Screw a bolt into the oil pipe (24) and pull it out together with the oil pipe (24).

Remove centering ring (22).

 Assembly: Install the centering ring (22) flush with the housing (1).

Remove gearwheel (19) with sliding sleeve (20).

 When doing so, pull out the shift fork (23) as far as possible through the opening of the screw plug (28).

 Assembly: Check the cylindrical roller bearing race (18.1) on the gear (19).

If damage or wear can be identified,



Replace cylindrical roller bearing (18) and cylindrical roller bearing inner race (18.1).

Remove shift fork (23).

Remove cylindrical roller bearing (18) using a suitable drift.

Assemble in the reverse order.
