Remove

Depressurize circuit 4 of compressed-air system.

See information from body manufacturer.

Disconnect electrical connector from power take-off 1 solenoid valve (Y8) or power take-off 1 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y8a).

Remove compressed-air line from shift cylinder (40).

Remove shift cylinder (40) from power take-off.

Collect transmission oil which flows out in a suitable vessel.

Installation: Replace seal (41).

Remove piston with shift rod (43) from power take-off.

Remove sealing ring (44) and slide ring (42) from piston with shift rod (43).

Install

Coat new slide ring (42) and new sealing ring (44) with lubricant and mount onto piston with shift rod (43).

Synthetic grease 50 g

Insert piston with shift rod (43) through shift fork (45) and compression spring (46) into bush (47).

Install shift cylinder (40) with new seal (41) on power take-off.

Screw/bolt, shift cylinder to shift housing

Mount compressed-air line onto shift cylinder (40).

Connect electrical connector for power take-off 1 solenoid valve (Y8) or power take-off 1 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y8a).

Check transmission oil level, correct, if necessary.
