7 | Remove ball bearing (9) from transmission housing rear section (11) using suitable drift | | |
8 | Remove ball socket (2) out of transmission housing rear section (11) using commercially available internal extractor and counter stay | ||
9 | Remove shim (7) | ||
10 | Remove roller bearing (8) | ||
11 | Remove magnet (3) | ||
12 | Remove reverse idler shaft with reverse gear | ||
Screw/bolt, reverse idler shaft to transmission housing | |||

13 | Install ball sleeve (2) into rear section of transmission housing (11) | The side of the ball socket (2) with the thicker casing faces the drift. | |

14 | Heat rear section of transmission housing (11) in area of bearing bore for ball bearing (9) to a maximum of 100 °C | ||

15 | Install new ball bearing (9) | | |
Position ball bearing (9) axially; if necessary, drive in axially using a suitable drift. | |||
16 | Install retaining ring (16) | ||
17 | Install breather (5) | ||
18 | Screw in fit bolt (4) | ||
19 | Install needle bushing (6) into rear section of transmission housing (11) | ||
20 | Install magnet (3) | The magnet (3) must be clean. | |
21 | Install roller bearing (8) up to contact surface in rear section of transmission housing (11) | ||
22 | Place shim (7) onto roller bearing (8) | ||
23 | Install reverse idler shaft with reverse gear | ||
Screw/bolt, reverse idler shaft to transmission housing | |||
24 | Flush fit locking bushes (10, 17) from outside | Drift | |
