1 | Remove range group cylinder | ||
2 | Block shift rod (5) with holding device (4) | ||

3 | Heat up shift piston (1) to approx. 80 °C and remove from shift rod (5) | Heat shift piston (1) up to approx. 80°C so that the quick-acting adhesive is released. | |

4 | Remove tappet (2) with spring from shift rod (5) | ||
5 | Clean thread of shift rod (5) | ||
| Install | ||
6 | Insert tappet (2) and spring into shift rod (5) | ||
7 | Coat surface between the two sealing lips with grease and attach shift piston (1) | For a brown sealing lip, use synthetic grease and for a black sealing lip, use Klueber grease. | |

8 | Tighten shift piston (1) to shift rod (5) | Shift piston to range group shift rod | |
