Determine the dimension "A" with a vernier caliper from the surface of the cover (1) to the contact surface of the balance disk

Install the cover of the tapered roller bearing (2) with the support block without play
On vehicles with code (BA9) secondary retarder Voith R 115 or with code (BA1) Voith Retarder with optimized power, install the spacer ring with the thrust shim without gap.

Determine dimension "B" with a vernier caliper, from the cover of the tapered roller bearing (2) to the contact surface of the rear carcass (3)
On vehicles with code (BA9) secondary retarder Voith R 115 or with code (BA1) retarder Voith with optimized power, measure from the spacer ring, the contact surface of the rear carcass (3).

Determine the balance disk to the bearing of the primary shaft. Transmissions 715.517/563/565/567/568 Transmissions 715.351/372/382/388/531
The balance disk to be installed should be thinner than the dimension indicated in the table as dimension "C".
