Disconnect ground cable from battery

Remove gearshift linkage (8) from transmission (1)

Remove clutch slave cylinder (2) from transmission (1)

 Do not detach hydraulic line from clutch slave cylinder (2)

Detach breather lines (3, 4) from transmission (1)

Remove transmission carrier (7)

Support engine at rear on oil pan

Remove starter

Unscrew all bolts (10) around circumference of coupling housing

Withdraw transmission (1) horizontally to the rear

 Swivel transmission downwards only after having pulled the drive shaft out of the drive plate

Installation: Engage 1st. gear and rotate on output flange, to enable the drive shaft to be inserted easier into the clutch plate.

Check clutch bearing (12) and clutch release fork (11) for signs of wear, replace if necessary

Install in the reverse order

 The hub toothing of the clutch plate is nickel-plated, therefore do not grease the drive shaft.
