Detach/install lines and components on the upper side of transmission

1 Detach fuel lines and electrical connection from the fuel metering pump (M16).

Only with warm air auxiliary heater code HZ3.

2 Detach fuel metering pump (M16) from longitudinal frame member.

3 Remove cable ties of the transmission vent line (1).

4 Place together the transmission vent line (1) on the upper side of the transmission and tie with cable ties.

5 Detach the plugs (2, 3) of the transmission wiring harness at the separation point to the transmission.

6 Remove compressed air line (4) and detach bracket (5) from longitudinal frame member.

Installation: Install compressed air line with new sealing rings.

7 Check the installation area of the transmission for lines which obstruct the removal and installation of the transmission; remove cable ties and tie up lines to one side.

8 Install in the reverse order.
