Bleeding

Open engine hood and position upright.

Remove the sieve in the expansion reservoir (1).

Attach connector (2) to expansion reservoir (1).

Connect filling hose (3) of filler/bleeder unit (4) to connector (2).



Remove plug from bleed valve (5).

Connect return hose (6) to bleed valve (5) of clutch booster (8) and receptacle (7).

 The hydraulic fluid must be collected in the receptacle (7).
The collected hydraulic fluid may no longer be added to the filler/bleeder unit (4) as it would combine with the air during the bleeding process, which would impair the quality.

Set bleeding pressure on filler/bleeder unit (4) to 2 bar.

 Observe manufacturer's operating instructions.

Switch on filler/bleeder unit (4).

Open bleed valve (5) by at least 90° and bleed clutch operating mechanism.

 Perform the bleeding procedure until the hydraulic fluid flows through the return hose (6) free of bubbles.
When doing so, hold down the clutch pedal for 1 min.

Close bleed valve (5) and disconnect return hose (6).

Check bleed valve (5) for leak tightness and replace, if necessary.

Fit plug onto bleed valve (5).

Switch off filler/bleeder unit (4) and remove connector (2) from expansion reservoir (1).

 The filler/bleeder unit (4) must be unpressurized, if necessary, lower the pressure.

Correct hydraulic fluid level in expansion reservoir (1).

Perform function test.

If clutch operation is not sufficient,



repeat bleeding procedure.

Close hood.
