The cylinder components should be washed only with hydrated alcohol (available in drugstores).
Products derived from petrol, such as gasoline, kerosene or diesel damage the rubber parts.
1 Remove the accordion pleated protection (11) and remove it from the rod (10) together with the sealing ring (10.1).
2 Remove the expander ring (9), the complete piston (6) and the spring (5) .
3 Remove the plug (4) and the bleeder (3).
4 Wash inside the cylinder with hydrated alcohol. In case of signs of oxidation, use a thin steel sponge. If the oxidation remains, replace the whole cylinder.
5 With the cylinder (1) in good conditions, preferably clean and lubricated with the specified brake fluid, install the new repair components according to the order:
Spring (5), observe the correct assembly position.
Complete piston with gasket (8) and sealing ring (7).
Inner expander ring (9).
Install the bleeder (3) and the new expansion plug (4).
6 Check free movement of the piston in the cylinder using the rod (10).
7 Install the new sealing ring (10.1) in the rod (10) and fit the new accordion pleated protection (11).
8 Lubricate the rod contact end (10) with the piston recess (6) with long lasting grease.
9 Install the protection (11) in the edge of the cylinder flange (1).
10 If the identification clamp (2) has been removed, it should be installed again.
11 If the cylinder remains in stock and is not immediately used , close the piping exits using an appropriate plastic expansion plug.
