| Remove the bellows protector (6), the snap ring (5), the complete piston (4), the spring (3) and the connection ring. |
| Wash hydraulic master cylinder inner section with hydrated alcohol (pharmacy supply). If there are any signs of oxidation use a fine steel sponge. If oxidation cannot be eliminated, replace the complete hydraulic cylinder. |
| With cylinders (1) in good condition, perfectly clean and lubricated with specified brake fluid, install the new components that correspond to the repair kit in order: |
| Check free piston (4) movement within cylinder (1). |
| Use long-lasting grease to lubricate contact area between rod and piston. |
| Fit the new bellows protector. |
| If the cylinder is not used immediately, cover the connection ports and the snap ring with appropriate plastic plugs. |
| Install the plastic identification clamp that comes with the cylinder. |
Hydraulic master cylinder repair kit replacement shown here is applicable to all vehicles of the series, however, cylinder diameter and piston stroke vary according to vehicle cargo capacity, as indicated on the plastic identification clamp that comes with the cylinder. | |
Cylinder components must only be washed with hydrated alcohol (pharmacy supply). Oil-derived products, such as gasoline, kerosene or Diesel fuel will damage rubber components. |
