Turn off the battery negative cable.

Loosen the screws (1) and lift out the regulating assembly with brush holder.

Check the brush condition and  measure the length (A).


Replace brushes in case of damage or if length (A) is equal or less than described measure.

Check roller bearing play

Slacken the belt tension.

Check bearings play.


Force alternator pulley in the radial and axial direction. There should be no play.
