In order to avoid damaging material, do not attempt to disassemble the brush holder set (3) | |||
2 | Move the brush holder set (3) with the brushes (4 and 5) out of the field and structure set (19) until the positive brush screws (29) are reached | ||

5 | Remove the grounded brush screws (39) | ||
6 | Remove the brushes (4 and 5) if replacement is needed | Hold the ends of each spring brush (7) with a thin nosed plier and twist them until the brush is removed. | |
Verify the minimum brush length allowed. | |||

7 | Remove the spring brushes (7) if replacement is needed | Hold the ends of each spring brush (7) with a thin nosed plier and twist them out of the socket in the brush holder set (3) and remove the spring. | |

8 | Position the spring (7) in the beginning of the spring seat in the brush holder set (3) | ||
9 | Hold the ends of the spring with a thin nosed plier and twist it clockwise on the upper part of the brush housing | ||
10 | Push the entire spring on the holder and release the free end to engage in the brush housing notch | ||
11 | Twist the spring (7) clockwise with a thin nosed plier until release the brush housing in the brush holder (3) | Observe the assembly position and make sure that the positive brushes (5) are placed correctly in the brush holder set (isolated housing). | |
12 | Install the brush in the housing and release the spring (7) gradually touching the brush side | This procedure will hold the retracted brushes (4 and 5) to make the brush holder installation easier (3) in the change-over switch. | |
13 | Install the grounded brush screws (39) | Do not flex excessively the brushes conductor (4 and 5) to avoid damage. | |
