Unplug connector from glow plugs (R9)

Remove glow plugs (R9)

 If releasing torque of glow plugs (R9) is greater than 25 Nm, it is recommended to bring engine up to operating temperature in order to avoid breaking off glow plugs (R9). Warm cylinder head up to about 90°C for a removed cylinder head.

 If hexagon breaks off or glow plugs (R9) cannot be unscrewed:



Clean glow plug recess

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory and erase

 Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in fault memories after completing the work.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
