Remove/install

Remove bottom rear engine compartment paneling

Detach complete right front wheel

For removal of NOx sensor control unit downstream of diesel particulate filter (1a).

Remove wheel well paneling at the front right

For removal of NOx sensor control unit downstream of diesel particulate filter (1a).

Remove left underfloor paneling

For removal of NOx sensor downstream of SCR catalytic converter (2a).

Detach electrical connection (1d or 2d)

Unclip electrical line (1c or. 2c) from brackets (4)

Remove NOx sensors (1a or 2a) from exhaust pipe

NOx sensor downstream of SCR catalytic converter

NOx sensor downstream of diesel particulate filter

Unscrew nuts (3) from body and remove NOx sensor (1a or 2a) together with NOx sensor control unit (1b or 2b)

Install in the reverse order

Connect diagnostic system, adapt SCN coding for NOx sensors (1a or 2a) in the CDI control unit, read out fault memory and delete if necessary
