1 Determining the arrangement of the electric wiring harness (1) as represented on the engine block.

Be sure the electric wiring harness (1) is installed free of tension in all its length between the dosage unit (7) and the engine control unit MR (8) and is secured with connector for wires.

2 Connect the electric wiring harness of the heating element (9) in the dosage unit (7) and is secured as represented on the engine block.

3 Determine the arrangement (1) as represented on the engine block and on the engine wiring harness (6).

4 Unlock and loosen the connector on the engine control module (MR).

5 Remove the cover on connector.

6 Break the red/brown wire (4) link of pin 42, as represented (see arrow), and remove 7.5 mm of the insulation at wire ends.

7 Liftoff electric connection pin on red/brown wire (3) of the electric wiring harness, and join with the red/brown wire (4) at one end of the squeeze connector (5).

8 Insert the remaining end of the red/brown wire (4), of the pin 4, in the other end of the squeeze connector (5).

9 With squeeze pliers, connect the wire ends to the squeeze connector (5).

Tighten the squeeze lead at points (A).

10 Heat-up the squeeze lead (5) with a hot air gun.

Heat-up the squeeze lead (5) until contracting the insulation envelope and the adhesive comes out at the ends.

11 Remove the blind plug at pin 40 of the outlet housing and insert the pin of the blue/red wire (2) of the electric wiring harness (1).

12 Install the cover on connector.

13 Connect the connector to the engine control module (MR).

14 Fasten the excessive length of the electric wiring harness (1) to the engine harness (6).
