Procedure To avoid damage or high wear on the flexible exhaust pipe, follow the prescribed dimensions and assembly sequence. Make sure that the assembly dimensions correspond to the relevant checking standard.

Lubricate the screws (2.1, 5.1) and the clamps (2, 5) with a high-temperature paste before the assembly.
The clamps (2, 5), sealings (3, 7) and tensioning washers (4, 6) must be new.

Assemble the grooves (4.1, 6.1) of the tensioning washers (4, 6) around the clamp fastenings (2.2, 5.2).

Position the clamps (2, 5) and tighten.

Brace the elements and apply a light blow on the opposite sides (arrows) of the clamps (2.2, 5.2).

Tighten the screws (2.1, 5.1).

Check the assembly dimension (X) on the exhaust pipe (1) with the corresponding test model.
