| Remove and install | ||
1 | Turn the general switch off or disconnect the negative cable | Release the negative cable bolt in the rail, avoid releasing the battery terminals. | |
2.1 | Remove the thermal protection (8a) | Engine 374.9. | |
3.1 | Remove the starter motor (10) | Engine 374.9. | |
4 | Release the nuts from the bolts (3) of the flange and remove the exhaust pipe (4) | Install: Replace the self-locking nuts of bolts (3) and the gasket (5) of the flange in the exhaust pipe (4). | |

5 | Remove the compressed air piping (2) from the pneumatic cylinder | IN engines 374.9 remove the lock (11) and remove the ball terminal (11a) of valve actuation (throttle). | |
Install: Lubricate the ball terminal. | |||
6.1 | Remove the ball terminal lock from the rod (9) and remove it | Engine 374.9. | |
Install: Lubricate the ball terminal. | |||
7.1 | Remove the bolt (6) from the oil return pipe support | Engines 376.9. | |
8 | Remove the self-locking nuts (7) | In engines 376.9, remove the thermal protection (8). | |
Install: Replace the self-locking nuts (7) and apply the recommended torque. | |||

9 | Remove the manifold with flange (1) and brake-motor device | ||
10 | Install in reverse order |
