1 Insert blocking device into compressor housing (2) and bolt tight.
The balancing weights of the crankshaft (5) must be facing down for this step.

2 Clamp compressor in a vise and slacken bolt of drive gear (3).
Use aluminium jaws for clamping in vise.
3 Unscrew bolt and use a suitable tool to carefully lever drive gear (3) off the crankshaft.

4 Take off blocking device .
5 Remove bearing flange (4).
Use a suitable tool to press crankshaft (5) sufficiently far in direction of bearing flange (4) until it is possible to take off bearing flange (4).
6 Take seal off bearing flange (4).

7 Take crankshaft (5) out of compressor housing (2) at the side.
If double air compressor fitted: take crankshaft out of opening of horizontal cylinder.
8 Take off thrust washer of cylinder roller bearing at crankshaft (5).
Clean all parts and inspect for wear, replace if necessary.
