Lethal hazard from being drawn into rotating vehicle parts

Do not insert your hand into rotating parts.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Secure area of rotating vehicle components against unauthorized access.

Open rear lid

Turn back tensioning device (1) and fix in place

 Use 1/2 inch locking handle and plug into square (arrow). If the existing bore and eye are covered, fix the tensioning device (1) in place by pushing in its own pin.

Turn back the tensioning device (2) and pull down the poly-V-belt at the same time

 Turn back the tensioning device (2) over the guide pulley screw but do not loosen the screw.

 Do not kink poly-V-belt (4) to avoid damaging it.

Unscrew bolts (3) and remove tensioning devices (1, 2)

 Installation: Check for correct positioning of the tensioning device (1, 2).



Inspect poly-V-belt for condition and damage, replace if necessary


