1 | Detach lower engine compartment paneling | ||
2 | Unclip clips (1) | ||
3 | Open the cover (2) | ||
4 | Slacken nut (4) | ||
5 | Slacken poly-V-belt (5) by turning bolt (6) | ||
6 | Remove poly-V-belt (5) | ||
| Install | ||
7 | Check poly-V-belt (5) for damage and wear; replace if necessary | ||
8 | Fit on poly-V-belt (5) | ||
9 | Tension poly-V-belt (5) by turning bolt (6) and check tension using a belt tension measuring device (7) | Observe instruction manual from manufacturer of the belt tension measuring device (7). Lead measuring head (8) through the access opening in the fender liner (3) and only use in the area shown. Adjustment value for first mounting of the poly-V-belt (5): 231 Hz to 273 Hz. Adjustment value for remounting of the poly-V-belt(5): 193 Hz to 219 Hz. Retensioning limit: 179 Hz to 231 Hz. | |

15 | Check poly-V-belt tension (5) | Observe instruction manual from manufacturer of the belt tension measuring device (7). Lead measuring head (8) through the access opening in the fender liner (3) and only use in the area shown. Adjustment value for first mounting of the poly-V-belt (5): 231 Hz to 273 Hz. Adjustment value for remounting of the poly-V-belt(5): 193 Hz to 219 Hz. Retensioning limit: 179 Hz to 231 Hz. | |
