Remove/install

Remove charge air cooler

Remove screw/bolts (2)

Raise vehicle with vehicle lift

Support rear axle crossmember (3) in the middle with a transmission jack, remove screw/bolts (4) and lower rear axle crossmember (3)

 Use a suitable base.

Unhook rear muffler (5) out of LH retaining rubber (6) and fasten with cable tie to the mount (7) for the rear apron

Unscrew bolt (8)

Pull rear axle crossmember (3) downwards, lead charge air cooler air supply ducting (1) out of mounts on transmission, turn below to the outside and lead out to the side

 Installation: Observe correct routing of the electrical wiring harness (9) in area of attachment of the charge air cooler air supply ducting (1) on transmission.

Install in the reverse order
