1 | Remove fuel lines and electrical lines for flame starting system and collect escaping fuel. | Only for FLA. | |
2 | Remove charge air hose (black) (3) on charge air pipe (1). | Clamp, charge air hose to charge air distributor/charge air pipe/charge air cooler | |
3 | Remove air intake hose for compressor (6) from charge intake pipe (1). | Only for BlueTEC. | |
4.1 | Remove screws (10, 11). | With engine 900.9, 904.9, 924.9 | |
Bolt, charge air pipe to alternator carrier | |||
Nut, charge air pipe to charge air pipe | |||
4.2 | Remove screw (5). | With engine 902.9, 906.9, 925.9, 926.9 | |
5 | Remove screw from clamp (8). | Clamp at charge air distributor/charge air pipe | |
6 | Remove charge air pipe (1). | Installation: Clean sealing surfaces and replace O-ring (7). | |
7 | Close off opening on charge air distributor (9). | ||
8 | Install in the reverse order | ||

9 | Start engine and check charge air pipe (1) for leaktightness with engine running. | See information from body manufacturer. | |
10 | Switch off engine. |
