1 Check control unit (1) for external damage.
In case of damage to the control canister (1) the turbocharger (3) must be replaced.
2 Disconnect hose (6) from control canister (1).
3 Attach test equipment (4) (without coolant connection) with the test cable (5) to control canister (1) and subject to an air pressure of max. 1 bar.
If the air pressure produced escapes between the valve rod (2) and the housing (arrow) of the control canister (1) the turbocharger (3) must be replaced.
4 Detach test cable (5) and test equipment (4).
5 Attach hose (6) to control canister (1).
