1 | Open engine hood and raise to vertical position | Installation: Only close engine hood after leakage test. | |
2 | Remove air intake hose (2) from cab air intake pipe (1). | ||
3 | Remove cable ties from air intake pipe (4). | ||
4 | Remove air intake hose on ALT | Only on vehicles with code (Z90) vehicle, capable of fording up to 1195 mm or with code (Z69) vehicle, capable of fording up to 1500 mm. | |
5 | Disconnect electrical connector (5) from air filter monitoring sensor (B7) | ||
6 | Disconnect electrical connector (9) at SCR air humidity and air temperature combination sensor (B132) | Only on vehicles with code (MS5) BlueTec 5. | |
7 | Disconnect compressor air intake pipe (7) from air intake pipe (4). | ||
8 | Disconnect air intake pipe (4) on air intake hose (8) | ||
9 | Remove air intake pipe (4) from carrier (6) | ||
10 | Remove air filter (3) from carrier (6) | ||
11 | Lift out air filter (3) with air intake pipe (4) | ||
12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
Danger! | Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running | Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. | |
13 | Start engine and check for leakage in area of air intake with engine running | Visual inspection. |
