Remove/install

Remove engine cover

 Installation: Ensure correct seating.

Remove engine air intake duct upstream of air filter

Disconnect electrical connection (4)

Loosen clamp (5)

 Installation: Check clamp (5) for damage.

Detach engine air intake duct downstream of air filter (6) on air filter housing (1)

Unhook electrical wiring harness (7) for glow output stage at air filter housing (1)

Disconnect electrical connection (8) at glow output stage.

Unhook electrical wiring harnesses (2) at air filter housing (1)

Unhook engine wiring harness (9) on air filter housing (1)

Remove screw/bolts (3) and place CDI control unit (N3/9) with attached lines to one side

 Installation: Check seal between CDI control unit (N3/9) and air filter housing (1) for damage.

Remove air filter housing (1) together with hot film MAF sensor

 To do this unclip air filter housing (1) at the front upwards from bracket and pull to the front out of the rear bracket.

 Installation: Check elastomer bearing (10) for damage.

Detach hot film MAF sensor

When installing a new air filter housing (1).

Install in the reverse order
