Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within tilting range of cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt cab all the way to end position and secure with safety strut.

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Detach fuel line (2) at fuel full-flow filter (1)

Collect escaping fuel.

Installation: Replace sealing rings.

Remove oil level sensor electrical connector (3) on engine control (MR) control unit (A6)

Disconnect electrical connectors (4, 5) at the engine control (MR) control unit (A6)

Pull securing clamp for electrical connector (5) upwards to unlock. Swivel securing clamp for electrical connector (4) downwards to unlock.

Remove engine control (MR) control unit (A6) with rubber dampers (6) and take out

Installation: Place damper rubber (6) on engine control (MR) control unit (A6) with multipurpose grease.

Install in the reverse order

Teach in transponder key

Only if engine control (EC) (A6) control unit was replaced.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine and run it at varying speeds

Crank engine with the starter for not more than 90 seconds. The fuel system is ventilated automatically. If the engine stops or does not start, repeat starting procedure after a break of 2 minutes.

Switch off engine and check around main fuel filter (1) for leaktightness
