Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read fault memory

 The following SD update is required:

2007-01-24-0684 for DVD 01/07 and 02/07. From STAR DIAGNOSIS DVD 03/07 the download and parameter is regularly available.

 The following conditions MUST be fulfilled before downloading:

- battery voltage 24 V to 26 V.

- It is essential that the power supply for the STAR DIAGNOSIS computer remains constant throughout the entire period.

 During the download do not:

- Start any other application,

- Perform on-board diagnosis,

- Run or start the engine and

- Disconnect the vehicle battery.

Switch on ignition

Start Diagnosis Assistance System (DAS)

Select category "UNIMOG"

Select "Special functions"

Select "MR download"

"MR5_04 Select software update for retrofitting of the diffusor heating"

 The download is menu-assisted.

Follow all of the instructions given by the Diagnosis Assistance System (DAS).

Select "New control unit software version V07"

Fill out VeDoc entry screen

Parameterize

Switch on ignition

 Only start with the parameterizing after the download is fully completed.

 During parameterization, do not

- Start any other application,

- Perform on-board diagnosis,

- Run or start the engine and

- Disconnect the vehicle battery.

Select "Control unit direct entry"

Select "Diffusor heating"

 Parameters 35.

Select "Proportioning valve 1" and confirm

Switch ignition off and on again

 When prompted by Diagnosis Assistance System (DAS).

Read out fault memory and erase

 Stored faults which may result from wires being disconnected or from simulation during assembly or testing have to be processed and erased in the fault memories after completing the work.
