	Remove
1	Connect vehicle diagnosis system, start diagnosis and perform quick test.	Only if the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) is replaced.
		 See information from body manufacturer.
2.1	Select "Control unit replacement" and follow the instructions.	If the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) is replaced.
		 Control unit replacement is completely menu-assisted under: MCM - engine management (A4)  Adaptation  Initial startup  Control unit replacement
2.2	Switch off ignition.	If engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) is not replaced.
		 See information from body manufacturer.
3	Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4).
4	Remove screws (6) and disconnect electrical connector (2) from engine management (MCM) control unit (A4).
5	Remove bracket (7) from the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4).
6	Unscrew screw/bolts (4).
7	Remove and take out the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) with the rubber dampers (5).
	Install
8	Install the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) with the rubber dampers (5).	 Take note of installation position of rubber dampers (5).
9	Tighten bolts (4)	 Engine 470.9, 471.9Bolt, engine management (MCM) control unit to crankcase	*BA07.16-N-1017-03A
10	Attach bracket (7) to the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4).	 Engine 470.9, 471.9Bolt, bracket for oil suction pipe to engine management (MCM) control unit	*BA07.16-N-1035-03A
11	Connect electrical connector (2) to engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) and tighten screws (6).	 Engine 470.9, 471.9Bolt, electrical connection to engine management (MCM) control unit	*BA07.16-N-1030-03A
12	Connect the electrical connection (1) to the engine management (MCM) control unit (A4).
13	Follow instructions for "Control unit replacement".	Only if engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) was replaced.
14	Start engine and perform an engine test run.	 See information from body manufacturer.
15	End diagnosis and remove vehicle diagnosis system.	Only if engine management (MCM) control unit (A4) was replaced.
