Remove/install

Switch off ignition

Remove engine cover

 Installation: Ensure correct seating of the engine cover.

Unlock and unplug electrical connection on fuel pressure sensor (B4/7)

 Installation: Ensure that electrical connection () is correctly engaged on the fuel pressure sensor (B4/7).

Detach engine wiring harness (1)

 Detach engine wiring harness (1) in the area of the high-pressure pump (2) until the bracket (3) and fuel pressure sensor (B4/7) is accessible.

Remove fuel pressure sensor (B4/7)


When unfastening and tightening the threaded connection counterhold the threaded connection using a suitable tool.
Damage can occur on the bracket (3) otherwise.

 Installation: Replace O-ring and coat with lubricant paste.

Install in the reverse order

Connect Star Diagnosis, read out fault memory and clear if necessary



 Danger !

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
