3 Disassemble injection nozzle into its individual parts:
Thrust nut (1), nozzle (2), nozzle needle (3), intermediate disk with locating pin (4), thrust pin (5), compression spring (6), washer (7) and nozzle holder (8).
4 Clean the disassembled injection nozzle in diesel fuel with a wooden stick from the outside and inside, in particular the needle seat and the annular groove.
T07.03-0011-01
The following step does not apply to Euro II and Euro III engines.
5 Use the cleaning needle from the cleaning set to carefully remove deposits on the injection holes of the nozzle (2).
6 Immerse nozzle (2) together with nozzle needle (3) in clean diesel fuel and check its sliding properties by means of the drop test.
Drop test
When the nozzle needle is pulled about one third out of the nozzle body and then released, it must slide down by itself onto its seat as a result of its own dead weight.
If this is not the case, install a new nozzle (2) and new nozzle needle (3).
