Remove/install

Remove induction module

Separate cable ties at rail (8) (arrows)

Installation: Install new cable ties.

Disconnecr plug connection of rail pressure sensor (1) and plug connection of pressure regulator valve (2)

Danger!

Risk of explosion caused by ignition of flammable products, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fuel vapors or swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to skin and eyes exposed to fuel.

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Only pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove injection line (11)

When slackening and tightening the union nut, counterhold at threaded connection with wrench.
On no account exceed the tightening torque in order to avoid also slackening the threaded connection the next time.

Do not crimp or bend injection lines (11).
After detaching injection lines (11), seal connections at the injection lines (11). Ensure scrupulous cleanliness!

Installation: Ensure exact seating of injection lines(11). Inspect sealing cone at injection lines (11) and replace injection line (11) if compression points are visible.

Detach bracket (3) of high pressure line (7) and unbolt high pressure line (7) at rail (8)

Detach fuel return flow line (10) at rail (8)

Pay attention to use of locking arm.

Installation: Install new sealing ring (13).

Unscrew banjo bolt (5) and detach fuel return flow line (12) at rail (8)

Installation: Replace sealing rings (6).

Unscrew bolts (4) and take rail (8) off cylinder head cover

If the rail is replaced:

Rail is supplied with rail pressure sensor (B4/6) and pressure regulator valve (Y74) installed.

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory
