Remove cylinder head cover (1)

 Installation: Before installing the cylinder head cover, check the ignition TDC marking and marking of the camshaft sprocket (4) in relation to the timing chain (3)

Position engine at ignition TDC on cylinder 1

Rotate engine on crankshaft.

Do not rotate engine at the camshaft sprocket bolt.
The position of the marking on the camshaft/camshaft bearing cap (arrow) must be flush

Mark the position of the timing chain (3) in relation to the camshaft sprocket (4) (arrows)

with a colored pencil

Install the retaining lock (7) for the crankshaft/starter ring gear

Remove chain tensioner (2)

Unscrew the stretch bolt (12), remove the washer (13) and camshaft sprocket (4); if necessary, hold the camshaft (6) against the camshaft sprocket (4) with a suitable drift

 Installation: The marking of the timing chain (3) in relation to the camshaft sprocket (4) must be flush, note the cylinder pin (8) (arrow)
