1 | Check engine valve timing | Installation: Turn engine in direction of engine rotation through two revolutions and check timing of the engine. | |
2 | Mark position of timing chain (2) relative to the camshaft sprocket (1) and cover timing chain chamber with rags | ||
3 | Remove bolts (3) | | |
4 | Detach camshaft sprocket (1) from camshaft (4), timing chain (2) from camshaft sprocket (1) and remove camshaft sprocket (1) from cylinder head (5) | Fix timing chain (2) in place at a suitable location under tension. | |
Installation: The markings (C) on the camshaft sprocket (1) and markings (D) on the cylinder head (5) must lie parallel to each other. | |||
